After our extensive renovations at the Califa this year we deserved something of a party. Not usually the sort of event you associate with a Morroccan restaurant in Andalucía but hey this is a ‘mestizo’ world – anything goes!
Many thanks to César Saldaña, Director of the Governing body of Sherry and Brandy producers of Jerez who very kindly officially opened our new ‘bodega’ (photo). Also many thanks to Michael Sherlock who piped in the haggis and to Stephen Daley for his rendition of the Ode to a Haggis. Much fun was had by all and we even managed an eightsome reel (sort of…).
Después de nuestras extensas renovaciones en el Califa de este año merecíamos una fiesta en condiciones. No suele ser el tipo de evento que se asocia a un restaurante marroquí en Andalucía pero vivimos en un mundo “mestizo” - todo vale!Muchas gracias a César Saldaña, Director General del Consejo Regulador de Vino y Brandy de Jerez, que muy amablemente se abrió oficialmente la nueva ‘bodega’ (foto).
